Wow, so here we are on 13 August, on our first day with Annie! John is in the at risk category, so we have been self-isolating for six months, and still are. We did two locks today, Grindley and Shaw locks, on our way to West Stockwith and the Trent tomorrow. We are heading to Keadby and South Yorkshire, as some totally stupid boater wrecked Nottingham Meadow Lane lock when trying to look under his boat by tying it to bollards and ladder, then letting the water out. How many hundreds of people will this inconvenience?
John has been busy painting the front cratch deck and mending the Dometic vacuflush toilet, which has fought him every step of the way. We are moored with two other boats at the bollarded visitors mooring between Shaw lock and Misterton, in the country. Lovely!
