Thursday 17 September up Foxton Locks and the long summit level
A cool breeze, some clouds and blue sky greeted us this morning. Four boats arrived early to go up, but we weren’t in a hurry. John hacked down long grass on the mooring with our bow saw, as the shears had been taken home for sharpening.
We moored a few miles from Foxton, after bridge 51, to enjoy the sun and scenery in a place with good metal piling. Bon Appetit!
